Why On-Site Line Boring Wins

When an excavator, loader, or dozer develops worn pin bores, the dealer's answer is usually "ship it to us" — which means a lowboy, days of downtime, and a big freight bill on a machine that's already costing you money sitting idle. Even the dealers (John Deere, CAT) call us for local line boring because it's faster and cheaper than sending it off.

No freight, no hauling

You don't move the machine — we move ours. Save the lowboy, the permits, and the days of transit each way.

Less downtime

Repair happens where the equipment is. Back in service faster — critical when production losses cost more than the repair.

100% dedicated

When we're on your site, we're focused on your machine only — not splitting attention across a shop full of other jobs.

What We Line Bore

Pin Bores & Bushings

Worn pin bores restored to spec — bore out the damage, weld up, re-bore to the correct pin diameter, install new bushings. Bucket pins, boom pins, stick pins.

  • Bore-weld-bore restoration
  • New bushing installation
  • Tolerances in thousandths (micrometer-measured)

Hydraulic Cylinder Pins

Cylinder mount and rod-end pin connections re-bored and bushed so your hydraulics seat true and stop wallowing out the mounts.

  • Cylinder mount bores
  • Rod-end connections
  • Mount reinforcement if needed

Articulation & Joints

Articulation joints, swing connections, and high-wear pivot points on excavators, loaders, and earthmoving equipment — restored under our integrated automated welder.

  • Articulation joint restoration
  • Integrated automated welding
  • In-shop or fully mobile

Three Dedicated Line Boring Machines

We run three line boring machines, each with an integrated automated welder — so the bore, weld-up, and re-bore happen in one controlled setup, on-site or in the shop. Different bar sizes and reach for everything from small pins to large articulation bores.

How We Quote It

Straightforward and no surprises. Labor at our shop rate plus a machine setup fee and the consumables the job actually uses. We give you the number up front.

Labor + machine fee
Shop labor rate + line boring machine setup fee, plus consumables (welding gas, bits, abrasives).
Typical pin job
A common bucket + machine-side repair (≈4 bores), consumables included — scoped and quoted per job.
Full overhaul
Multi-day overhauls (line boring + articulation + added repair) scoped and quoted after inspection.
Driving time
For mobile jobs outside Laredo we add drive time — still far less than hauling the machine to a dealer.
